about

P1010061.JPG Thanks for visiting!  I'm an interdisciplinary author, artist, and ecological design scholar-practitioner based in the Pacific Northwest/ Cascadia Bioregion. My formal education and professional training is interdisciplinary architecture/design-build and group psychology, and I hold two masters degrees related to these disciplines: the first, in whole systems design, and the second, in organizational psychology. In addition, I am certified in permaculture design and as a sustainable building advisor (CSBA).

Over the course of my career, I've practiced ecological design in a wide range of contexts, from residential design-build to education/public policy, and in roles varying from principal designer/project manager to team faciliator, executive consultant, and educator.

Within ecological design, my professional area of expertise is small group dynamics and complex problem solving: related to this, I've developed a proprietary method of visual notation/graphic faciliation that is highly effective in developing insight related to "wicked" design problems.

As of 2019, I am focusing on personal projects, creative work, and a new business venture, and am no longer taking new clients. To learn more about my personal projects as they develop, please sign up for my quarterly newsletter at my new website/blog/vlog https://www.sequoia.earth/words

I hope to see you there.

Blessings to you all.

To regeneration!
